Associations

To perfect the flair among the students for participating in various social, cultural, sports activities and to remain active throughout the year , many associations have been formed to guiding them so that they can come out with their talents. Students are motivated to participate in Quiz, Essay writing, Poetry writing, cartooning, declamations, contests, debates, and paper reading contests etc.

Anti Ragging Committee

The anti ragging cell is constituted to stop unlawfull activities in the college. Most of us are well aware that Ragging has ruined countless innocent lives and careers. In order to eradicate it, Hon able Supreme Court in Civil Appeal No. 887 of 2009, passed the judgment, aim is to eliminate ragging in all its forms from universities, deemed universities and other higher educational institutions in the country. This will be achieved by preventing its occurrence and punishing those who indulge in ragging. In Ragging, any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or a junior student. Indulging in a rowdy or undisciplined activities which causes or is likely to cause irritation, hardship or psychological harm or to raise fear or apprehension thereof in a fresher or a junior student. 3. Asking the students to do any act or perform something which such student will not do in the ordinary course and which has the effect of causing or generating a sense of shame or embarrassment so as to adversely affect the physique or psyche of a fresher or a junior student

What is Ragging ?

Discipline Committee

Discipline Committee is constituted for the maintenance of discipline in college. The committee will ensure that students obey rules and remain orderly and peaceful in the pursuant of educational objectives/goals in the college community. The Disciplinary Committee will look into the functions under the guidance of Head of Institution, To serve as model in terms of character training and behavior for students., To assist the students in conforming to school rules and regulations., To help students develop self-discipline., To administer consequence commensurate with offence committed by any student., To frame new rules and regulations in consultation with committee for the students behavioral aspect., To promote and encourage good behavior among the teachers and students and To create an environment that is conducive to peaceful and harmonious co-existence of staff & students.

Cultural Activities

The committee works hard throughout, for victory or for learning in Zonal and Inter-Zonal Youth festivals competitions. This is one of the most vibrant societies of the college and they add zest and colour to all the college events and festivals.

Trainging and Placement Cell

The cell is active with Training & placements activities through out the year. Personality Development workshops is to prepare the students for group discussions and interviews. Distinguished people from government, organizations are invited for the benefit of students.

Sports Committee

In our opnion with education, the sports are also necessary for overall growth of a student. We have a fully functional and well equipped indoor and an outdoor games for students. The college provides all the facilities. Every year, we organize 2-days Annual Sports Meet wherein renowned persons are invited to encourage our students. Hindu College has given many national and international players to state.

NCC National Cadet Corps

NCC means National Cadet Corps is the youth wing of Armed Forces with its Headquarters at New Delhi, India. It is open to school and college students on voluntary basis. National Cadet Corps is a Tri-Services Organization, comprising the Army, Navy and Air Wing, engaged in grooming the youth of the country into disciplined and patriotic citizens. The National Cadet Corps in India is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, higher secondary, colleges and universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades. The officers and cadets have no liability for active military service once they complete their course. In Our College NCC unit have approx 100 students from all courses. They attend all the mandatory NCC Camps. After completions, NCC cadets have been awarded 'C' Certificate and 'B'Certificate after conducting an examination.

NSS (National Service Scheme)

In our college, we have three NSS Units and We are extremely proud of our NSS PO and volunteers for their servies to the nations. In NSS camps, various kinds of activities are arranged for the benefit of NSS volunteers. Spearkers from various fields are invited to keep ehnance the overall developments of volunteers.

Women Cell

The College has a very active Women Cell that organises talks/extension lectures on various issues. Women cell in the college works for all.

Red Cross Society

District level Youth Red Cross Training Camp, where the students are told about First Aid Training, Impact of Global Warming, Blood Donation and diseases like Malaria, TB, HIV AIDS, Hepatitis B and C. Our students won many prizes in the activities organized in the camp.

Student Welfare Commitee

The Commitee looks after for the welfare of students. It is open to suggestions, views from students on academic curriculum, infrastructure, cleanliness and other facilities in the college. Help is given to needy students In addition to all this, fee concession, books from Book Bank and various scholarships are an annual feature of the college.
